Welcome to the Homepage of Alpha Sigma Phi’s Theta Chapter Alumni.
We have created this webpage to reconnect and stay connected with the Theta Alumni and all area alumni of Alpha Sigma Phi.
The Theta Chapter has a long, rich history and the Alumni Association strives to maintain and foster an atmosphere to archive the past and create future memories with the Alumni and active Brothers.
In this vein, we have begun a number of activities and committees to help us stay connected. Most notably, we are preparing a large celebration for Homecoming 2008. This will mark the 100th anniversary since the original founding of Theta and the 10th anniversary since the re-chartering. Brother Matthew Hladki has volunteered to head up this undertaking and we are actively looking for additional volunteers. Please email Brother Hladki at Matthew.Hladki@bdk.com and/or see the Homecoming 2008 area of the website for more information.
We are also looking to substantially update our Alumni contact database. Many of the Alumni have not been connected in recent years because their contact information is out of date. We are looking for Alumni volunteers in each decade who may be able to help us locate some of the brothers from their era. Please contact Jim Vanek at jvanek@forsythe.com if you have updated information for any Alumni member or if you have an interest in helping us update our database.
The Alumni Association of Michigan also coordinates two monthly get together events in Southeast Michigan. We meet for monthly breakfasts on the first Saturday of each month. We meet at the Original House of Pancakes on Ten Mile in Southfield at 7:30 am. The sole purpose is to see and meet each other and to discuss the topics of the day. See the calendar area of the website for addition information and directions. We also meet on the third Thursday of every month for drinks at 6:30 pm. This event is held at different locations each month. See the calendar or contact Brother Hladki for more information.
We look forward to expanding our organization and our connectedness to the Alumni of Alpha Sigma Phi. I welcome your thoughts and ideas to make this an organization a success.
In Phi,
Gary P. Grochowski, Theta '98
